We are a small Hobby Kennel in East Central Florida. I started training dogs in Obedience and Conformation in 1985. I grew up in Virginia and was fortunate to know Martha Lee Voshell. In 1989 and 1990 I bought 2 Labradors from her and showed them both in Conformation and Obedience in the mid 1990's. In 2002 I bought a wonderful girl from Marion Daniels ~ Mar-Moye Labradors. She turned out to be an awesome Obedience Dog. I was teaching Obedience for the City of Cocoa Beach and she was my demonstration dog. In 2004 I purchased a lovely Clark son from Cindy Sommer ~Mill Stream Labradors. And I found myself back in the Conformation Ring. Also at that time I was fortunate to leave my "Day Job" and went to work at Barkingham Place Pet Center here in Rockledge, FL. I became the lead instructor teaching Obedience and Agility. Richard & Candi Pearce ~ Gemini Goldens~ are the owners of Barkingham Palace and I trained their puppies for the Breed Ring, I was still showing in the Obedience Trials and Conformation Shows handling my dogs.

 

In 2004 I found myself without anything to show in the breed ring. I was fortunate to get to show a lovely boy that Rhiann Houchins ~ Feather Downs Labradors~ and Kathy Smith owned. He was a wonderful boy and he changed our lives forever. Rhiann Houchins is a very dear friend. Rhiann and I have a similar vision for where we want to go with our dogs as far as breed type, structure, temperament, and performance. You will see that I co-own most of my dogs with her. I am very thankful to Rhiann for she is not only my best friend, but a wonderful mentor. I would not be where we are today without her help and guidance.

 

In September of 2010 we moved to Rockledge, Florida on 2.5 acres. I now train and teach here at our home. ~ D.O.G. Training ~ We offer a few Obedience Classes and some Boarder/Training.  My D.O.G. clients are currently showing at Obedience Trials.  (to see their accomplishments visit Obedience Trials)

 

Each of our Labradors has their Hips and Elbows OFA (Orthopedic Foundation of America) tested as well as their Eyes Cleared yearly from Inheritable eye disorders. This is done by a board Certified Veterinary Ophthalmologist (AVCO). We also are now testing all of our Labradors for EIC (Exercise Induced Collapse).

 

All of our puppies that go to pet homes as family companions are sold on a Limited Registration.
